| Michiel de Haan - Aescap Venture | ||
| Michiel de Haan became chairman of Avantium's Supervisory Board in July 2010. He has been active in venture capital since 1980 when he founded Atlas Venture, a European-American venture capital firm that has been involved in more than 300 venture backed companies. Currently he is General Partner of Aescap Venture that he founded in 2005. Aescap invests in emerging Life Science companies in Europe. Michiel is past chairman of the European Venture Capital Association ( EVCA ) and co-founder of the European Venture Philanthropy Association ( EVPA ). |

| Denis Lucquin - Sofinnova | ||
| Denis Lucquin is a Managing Partner and Chairman of Sofinnova Partners who specialises in life sciences, and cleantech investments. He joined Sofinnova in 1991. Denis began his career in academic research. For five years, he was in charge of the technology transfer department at the Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique (INRA), France's agricultural research institute. In 1989, he joined the venture capital industry as director of investments at Innolion (Crédit Lyonnais). He carried out many investments in Europe such as Nicox, Oxford Glycosciences, Oxford Molecular, PPL Therapeutics, Conjuchem, Exonhit, IDM, Innate Pharma and Ablynx (all of which successfully went public) and Novexel (sold to Astrazeneca), and Crop Design, Cerenis, and Noxxon. He recently invested in BioAmber, a developer of innovative technologies for molecules to the chemical industry. He actively supports all of these companies and acts or as acted as a board member for most of them. He is also a founder of Association France Biotech. He is a graduate in engineering from Ecole Polytechnique and Ecole du Génie Rural des Eaux et Forêts. He also has a degree in Innovation Management from the Université de Paris-Dauphine. |

| Claude Stoufs - Capricorn Cleantech | ||
| Claude Stoufs holds a Master of Science degree in Chemistry. He is a graduate in Business Administration and a graduate in International Trade from the University of Brussels. He joined Akzo/Fabelta in 1974 and was subsequently recruited by PA Technology end-1980 and became Senior Consultant in charge of the technology strategy consulting practice. After 5 years with PA, he worked at Occidental Petroleum where he held the dual responsibility of business development for the European chemical division and M&A in the European market. Claude joined FMC Corp. to lead the M&A activities in Europe. He came to Capricorn Venture Partners as Senior Investment Manager in 2000. His contribution to the funds advised by Capricorn is mainly in the areas of biotechnology, healthcare, advanced materials and cleantech. Claude serves or has served at the Board of Directors of BioAlliance, Elbion / 4AZA, TiGenix, UroGene, FlandersBio vzw, Fluxome, Alaska Food Diagnostics, AK Diagnostics Europe, Avantium, FRX Polymers, Capricorn Venture Fund II and Capricorn Cleantech Fund. |
