Life time case study
Customer objective
- 4 month program
- 14 process conditions studied
- 90 litres wax produced
- 9600 samples analyzed per GC channel
- Total of 4590 hours on stream for 64 reactors
- 191 days online for 64 reactors
- 33.5 years online if only 1 reactor used
- Stability & performance compared with reference
Our approach
- Up to 64 identical, parallel reactors, 4 temperature blocks of 16 reactors each
- Small volumes of catalysts (25 to 200 μL)
- Limited amounts of chemicals, limited safety risks
- Co-feeding of CO2, hydrocarbons and/or H2O
- Reaction products diluted directly after reactor exit
- Limited chance of condensation and polymerization
- Gas-liquid separation at ambient pressure
- Online sampling and analysis per reactor up to ~C15A
Satisfied customer
- Mass balances over 64 reactors in the order of 100% with a standarddeviation of 5%.
- Combination of online and offline analysis showed consistentmeasurements of gas phase and liquid phase measured values.
- A continuous study of 3 months has shown the reliability of the reactorsystems with a reactor to reactor reproducibility within 95% for catalyst activity.
Parallel Life-time Studies
>3 Months study for 64 catalysts
