Flowrence® is a parallel, fixed-bed reactor system suited for gas and liquid phase, as well as trickle flow operation.
It was developed from existing "Nanoflow" technology. Many improvements by Avantium, including proprietary pressure regulation, reactor design, robust automation, data-storage, optimal size and increased number of reactors were implemented in the Flowrence® reactor system.
The units being used at Avantium have proven their versatility and applicability in a wide variety of catalytic processes, such as hydrogenation, desulphurization, gas-to-products, water-gas shift, hydrotreating, and others. Flowrence® has recently been launched commercially and can be tailored to specific industrial applications.

- Stainless steel or glass reactors 2mm diameter
- Working pressure 10-100 Bar with option to increase to 200 Bar
- Feed 2 gases and 1 liquid with option to increase to 5 gases and 2 liquids
- Real or crushed catalyst extrudates (catalyst particle size up to 1.6mm)
