Avantium sadly announces the death of its founder Ian Maxwell

Avantium announced today the death of its founder and former CEO, Dr. Ian Maxwell. Last week Dr. Maxwell died in a tragic boat accident near Auckland, New Zealand.Dr. Maxwell founded the company Avantium in the year 2000 as a spin-off from Royal Dutch Shell. He will be remembered for his vision, enthusiasm, and drive to create new technologies, which formed the basis for Avantium.
