Customer Oriented Approach

Avantium involves a dedicated team from the earliest project discussions: In the initial stages of the collaboration the teams work together to comprehend und understand the objectives and the chemistry involved. After this stage Avantium finalizes the experimental plan, describes project milestones and issues the official project proposal. Upon review and acceptance of the proposal the project teams will come together and agree to detailed experimentation, time lines and project execution.

In the first weeks of a project, the test and analytical equipment is adapted and optimized for the specific chemistry. This is based on the customer's application knowledge and Avantium's expertise on (high throughput) experimentation and catalysis in general. After this commissioning phase and validation of the equipment, the actual test program will start.

During the experimentation phase, Avantium's customers typically receive weekly project updates from project leaders. In frequent conference calls and face-to-face meetings experimental results will be discussed as they become available. Usage of specialized visualization software and web conferencing will ensure optimal interaction between the teams and information transfer.

On completion of the program, customers receive a detailed report containing an overview of the experimental set up and approach, the results of the experiments, representations of trends, the conclusions drawn, and all the raw data generated during the program.

For customers, for whom multiple projects are executed, Avantium strives to involve the same people throughout the collaboration. In strategic collaborations a steering team is set up to overview the projects, address operational aspects as well as present and future business of the partnership.
